Plan……..221 km in 4:55 ride time to get to our Airbnb house for e a few days

Another amazing day’s ride. Left the gorges to continue to the other side - early morning ride was spectacular with mist over the hills which were actually below us at some points.
We were after twisty roads and today we rode the most twisty roads you can come across. Some sweepers but mainly switchbacks, including riding some of the Tour de France route, which wasn’t necessarily planned, it was just luck.
We did manage to get poured on for the 1st at the very top of one of the Tours’ mountains. Shame I can’t upload a video as that captured the thunder and lightening all around us 😨😨
We chose to get an Airbnb for 3 nights and this certainly proved the right thing to do - we managed to have a lovey few days relaxing and all the washing done, so we had cloths to wear - when I say we, I mean Caroline.
It was a lovey place to stay, located up in t he hills above Nice.
